Building up trust – Picking up the feet

Since the horse as a flight animal fully depends on its feet, it can often be a very demanding task for young horses to allow the trainer to touch and pick up their feet. Arnar Bjarki Sigurðarson (B.Sc. in Riding and Riding instructions and head trainer at Sunnuhvoll) shows us how to teach this in a respectful and save manner and build a trustful foundation for future handling and shoeing.
